exhibition at the momushop window
june - September 2025
My ceramic sculptures temporarily inhabit the display window of the MoMu Shop (Fashion museum, Antwerp) engaging in a quiet dialogue with fashion. This moment coincides with the museum’s current exhibition, 'Fashion & Interiors. A Gendered Affair', which explores how domestic and sartorial worlds overlap and converse . My works settle between inside and outside, between passerby and imagination. The recurring checkered patterns act as a soft manifesto against polarization...an ode to duality and the subtle power of in‑betweenness. As fashion weaves itself between identity and expression,my ceramics reach for balance in a world that constantly shifts. My signature ceramic pears and ceramic apple cores are restocked especially for this occasion. Available at the MoMu shop for 75€
Graduation Exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts Berchem
June 2024 - Zuiderpershuis, Antwerp
‘WHEN THE CRICKETS HESITATE’ is an ode to the exploration I undertook during my first four years at the academy. It all began with playful experimentation. Gradually, structure and counterbalance emerged, often through geometric patterns to evoke a sense of duality. Drawn to the beauty of the banal, the odd grace of *la jolie laide*, the quiet persistence of still life and the ongoing tension between reverence and irreverence between the urge to elevate the object and the impulse to dismantle its pedestal. These themes continue to resurface in my later work.
eye & lip brooches for Momu's 'maskerade, make-up & Ensor', Antwerp
October 2024 BACK IN STOCK!!! September 2025
For this exhibition at MoMu Fashion Museum Antwerp, I collaborated with the museumshop to create a series of ceramic brooches in the shape of eyes and lips. These brooches respond to the exhibition’s exploration of make-up as both mask and expression. The show, which links the world of James Ensor to contemporary voices like Cindy Sherman and Walter Van Beirendonck, invites reflection on the shifting surfaces we show to the world. Within that context, my brooches act as subtle, tactile gestures... intimate masks that travel with the body.

between layers of dust
March 2025 - STEK, Borgerhout
In between layers of dust, I collaborated with photographer Kurt De Wit to create a dialogue between clay and image, between what is formed by hand and what is captured by light. Presented at STEK, a vibrant creative space in Borgerhout, the exhibition explored themes of transformation, silence and memory. My ceramic works, rooted in materiality and instinct, were placed in conversation with Kurt's subtle photographic compositions. Together the works invited reflection on what settles over time, what resurfaces and what remains quietly alive beneath the visible. In the quiet spaces where dust settles, life whispers. Between the Layers of Dust is not just about ceramics; it is about the unseen stories carried within each layer of creation and erosion, of movement and stillness, of existence itself. Clay, born from the earth, is shaped by water, hardened by fire, and carried by air. Each ceramic form in this exhibition stands as a vessel of time...stacked, shifting, balancing on the edge of stability and collapse. The fluidity of the build reflects the organic dance of nature: rivers carving landscapes, roots entwining through soil, wind sculpting rock formations. And yet, just as nature builds, it also erodes. Dust is the memory of what was, the residue of transformation, the whisper of impermanence. The stacks rise like totems of balance, embodying the dual forces of yin and yang. Smooth meets rough, order meets chaos, fragility meets strength. Each piece, though carefully placed, carries the potential to tumble reminding us that all things are in flux, held together only by the delicate harmony of opposing forces. Life and death exist in this cycle. What is built will one day return to dust but from that dust new forms will emerge. In this way, Between the Layers of Dust is not just an exhibition...it is a meditation on the beauty of impermanence, the poetry of balance, and the eternal interplay of creation and decay.
Viewmaster / masterview
September 2024
"Viewmaster Masterview was a group exhibition curated by Tom Liekens (affiliated with Galerie De Zwarte Panter). He selected a group of graduating art students, including ceramic artist Maya Bolsens, who presented her work as part of the show." The show was a continuation and deepening of my graduation exhibition, ‘When The Crickets Hesitate’

collab for Valentine's Day with Momushop, Antwerp
februari, 2025
As a continuation of my collaboration with MoMu Fashion Museum Antwerp for the Masquerade, Make-up & Ensor exhibition, a special Valentine’s edition of lip brooches was released: A Kiss is Just a Kiss
A kiss is the spark before the storm
a silent promise
a connection that speaks what words cannot.
It’s both an ending and a beginning,
leaving the heart forever changed.
At the same time, a kiss is universal
whether it’s romantic, platonic,
or symbolic,
it retains its basic essence as a gesture of affection or
connection.

on display at wilder
april 2023, Antwerp
In the spring of 2023, a selection of my ceramic vases and objects found a temporary home at Wilder, a charming boutique nestled in Antwerp’s vibrant Borgerhout district. Wilder is more than just a flower shop; it’s a creative studio where locally grown, seasonal blooms intertwine with vintage treasures and handcrafted items. Their commitment to sustainability and artistry made it the perfect setting for my ceramics, allowing them to be part of a space that celebrates the beauty of craftsmanship and nature alike.
