Functional Art
These works exist alongside my sculptural pieces, not as extensions or supports but as autonomous forms.Although some may have appeared in exhibitions as carriers or spatial counterparts, both pedestal and artwork maintain their own identity. *Within my Functional Art category, the focus is primarily on pedestals and side tables, while certain sculptural works can also function as bowls, offering space to hold or carry objects without losing their autonomous character.Nothing is fixed, my works exist as identities in constant transition.Rooted in my ceramic language of layered surfaces and recurring checkered rhythms, these pieces inhabit the space between design and sculpture without hierarchy.*Occasionally, the dialogue between a work and its pedestal becomes so precise, so inevitable, that they fuse into a single presence, the pedestal no longer a support but an integral part of the sculpture itself.
